ACCRA, GHANA — In a proud demonstration of inter-sport solidarity, the Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) paid an official visit to the Ghana Police Headquarters on Tuesday, 8th September 2026, delivering essential supplies and financial backing to support the Ghana Police Sports Unit as they gear up for the annual Security Services Sports Association (SESSA) Games.

?led by GRFU President Ms. Rafatu Inusah, along with Board Members Mr. Emmanuel Kalos and AICOL Adamson Christian Percy, presented the contribution on behalf of the Union and its generous corporate partners. 
The donated package featured critical provisions for athlete welfare, including five boxes of Kivo gari, five boxes of sanitary pads, five boxes of Kleesoft washing powder, five boxes of Kleesoft bar soap, and a cash contribution of GH?1,000.00.
?In addition to the operational supplies, the Union presented an official Ghana Rugby jersey to ASP Bernice Rashidatu Abdulai Timbilla, Director of Sports, honoring her steadfast advocacy for rugby’s growth and integration within the Ghana Police Service.
?"Our athletes represent the resilience and dedication of our security forces," said Ms. Rafatu Inusah during the presentation. "Through the vital support of our sponsors—including Kivo and Kleesoft—we are proud to play a role in ensuring the Police Sports Unit is equipped, motivated, and fully prepared to excel at this year's SESSA Games."

?The delegation was warmly received by COP Mr. Kofi Blagodzi, Director-General of Human Resource, alongside ASP Timbilla and key service personnel. Accepting the package on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, COP Blagodzi commended the GRFU for stepping forward and highlighted how crucial such corporate and sporting partnerships are for total athlete development.
